The ninth edition NADA Auto Show of started with the slogan ‘Day Out for the Family’ exhibition hall of Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.
Large number of people gather at the stalls of popular brands like Hyundai, MarutiSuzuki, Skoda, Kia and Volkswagen in the four-wheel segment. Apart from the existing brands, UM the American brand motorbike launched for the first time in Nepal also attracted people.
When we talk about people interest we can easily say demand for hatchback and entry-level sedan cars is high compared to the other variants of four-wheelers. As these stalls are crowded with people.
Likewise, The Cross Polo and Polo GT TSI from Volkswagen are attracting healthy crowds. Skoda Rapid, a sedan car, is also witnessing many people. Apart from the four-wheelers, the motorbike stalls are attracting a large chunk of visitors. Visitors are also flocking to the stalls of Yamaha, Bajaj, TVS, Mahindra, Honda and Hero. New launches like Activa I from Honda, Yamaha R6 and Yamaha Ray Z scooters among others are drawing the attention of a large number of visitors at the expo.
A total of 43 automobile companies including 24 automobile brands from China, Germany, US, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, India and Nepal is participating in the event. Likewise, focusing the festivals most of the companies have provided their schemes. There are various schemes like in the show like lucky buyers can win 1 tola gold weekly, cash discounts of Rs 4,000-100,000 through a scratch card and free servicing for up to five years and a 10 percent discount on spare parts, On purchase of Mahindra scooters and Centuro motorcycles, customers will get a Samsung phone worth Rs 12,790 etc.
Not only vehicle we can see stalls of spare parts, lubricants, tyres, generators, garage equipments, battery and other auto accessories. To make the exhibition more informative, stalls of banks, after sales services, insurance, auto magazines and newspapers are attraction the crowd. Different participatory and interactive programs such as talk show, quiz contest, traffic information and live concert makes the show attractive.
The five day vehicles exhibition, which started on September 11, was organised by the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) in association with the Global Exposition and Management Services (GEMS), an event organising company concluded on 16 September.
